Most ghost towns are cheesy tourist traps but I love Jerome! It’s not just a ghost town it’s an artist colony hippie hang-out. It’s lined with galleries with bistros nestled in-between. The view is spectacular. IMHO, the best ‘Ghost Town’, the best one I’ve been to rather, is Bodie.

Not sure how they’re gonna manage this with all of his dad’s expletives cut out. I think they’ll leave the damn’s and ass’s in but he drops some eff bombs. and when he does, they’re effective, not superfluous.

Get out! I had burritos with these guys a few months ago!
Before the Neko Case concert subdigs, karmatic and I grabbed beers at a burrito joint behind the venue. There was a group of stoners sitting next to us. Fast forward to the concert….the same guys take the stage, they were the opening band. Deer Tick. After the concert John McCauley signed subdigs CD “Burrito ♥”.
Great concert, great friends, great night.

Dead Man’s Bones - Dead Hearts video. beautiful and weird and sad. maybe this is just what i need right now.
also, reading a sampling of listener responses to this album online, i see that a lot of people get it and a lot don’t. and almost no one gets the concept of art rock, art project…where something is what it is, most simply. this could be a one off project or they could do something completely different and continue on with a second album. concept album, anyone?
